Issues & Solutions

Q: Why can’t my phone get charged in charging backup mode?
A: You have this issue because you may have connected the charging cable to the female USB-C port of the PhotoCube PD+ in the OTG mode connection order. The power can only be delivered from a male USB-C port to the PhotoCube, not from the female USB-C port. Please make sure the male USB-C port of the PhotoCube PD+ is connected to the charger or any power source like a laptop, and use the USB-C cable to connect your devices.

Q: The charging mode is working well, but why can’t the app find my PhotoCube under OTG mode?
A: Please make sure your phone case is not blocking the full connection between the PhotoCube PD+ and your smartphone.

Q: Why can’t I see the Photo, Calendar, or Contact sections in the iOS App settings during the setup process?
A: Please try reinstalling the app and make sure to select ‘Permission’ instead of ‘Cancel’ on the authorization pop-up when you first open the app. After completing the setup, you can turn off auto backup for any of these features in the app settings.

Q: Why can’t my PhotoFast One App back up my photos?
A: Please make sure you have fully granted the app all permissions for your photos, calendar, and contacts in your phone’s settings.

Q: I have about 3000 images on my smartphone. Then it suddenly exited with about 700 photos left. I tried it several times. There is lots of space left on the card. How can I get this bug fixed?
A: Usually, broken image files or unsupported files will lead to this issue. Please delete the last 1-2 photos or videos that were backed up on the PhotoCube, as well as the next 1-2 photos or videos that have not yet been backed up.

Q: How do I turn off the auto backup for my contacts or calendar?
A: You can turn off the auto backup in the app’s settings menu.

Q: How does OTG Backup Mode work?
A: Utilize OTG Backup Mode to instantly back up data directly from Type-C devices without needing external power sources or cables.

Q: Can PhotoCube PD+ charge my phone and back up data at the same time?
A: Yes, PhotoCube PD+ supports PD fast charging, enabling your phone to charge while performing data backups. This feature ensures your device stays powered up during the backup process, compatible with a wide range of smartphones.

Q: Is PhotoCube PD+ compatible with my device?
A: PhotoCube PD+ is designed to work with both Android and iOS devices, supporting Type-C and non-Type-C connections. It's a universal backup solution for today's diverse range of smartphones.
